Doug
another Alison and Scots poet who impresses me is Alison Flett, I only know
her stuff from the 'Foil' anthology but I'm much taken by it, Helen
MacDonald is talked about a lot.although I confess I'm not over-enamoured of
her work. Kathlen Jamie I have heard about but can't say I feel drawn to.

Just to say that apart from Alison the other female poet
I have been following is Kathleen Jamie. But I have become
disillusioned with her because underneath the antiquated
Scots words she uses I detect a lack of substance. But
she is very trendy. I saw a Selected Poems in Waterstones
last week but had no urge to buy it.
