One-day event: OR in Sport
Wednesday 25th September 2002 at 10.00 for 10.30 am
at Said Business School, Park End Street, Oxford
(close to Oxford railway station)
This second announcement includes an additional talk and a timetable
is given. Note that you need to register your interest by THURSDAY
19 SEPTEMBER (see below) if you plan to attend.
The event will focus on strategy in sport with several well-known
academics describing their work. In addition, we are very fortunate to
have Mike Golding, a Round the World Yacht Racer, as one of our
speakers. Mike Golding is the only person ever to sailed single
handedly around the world in both directions. He is one of the world's
leading sailors, has sailed around the world five times, and is renowned
for his fearlessness and tenacity.

There is no registration fee, although attendees will be charged £10 for
lunch, coffee and tea, payable on arrival (preferably cash).
