One-day event: OR in Sport
Wednesday 25th September 2002 at 10.00 for 10.30 am
at Said Business School, Park End Street, Oxford

The event will focus on strategy in sport with several well-known
academics describing their work. In addition, we are very fortunate to

leading sailors, has sailed around the world five times, and is renowned
for his fearlessness and tenacity.
The talks will be as follows.

Mark Dixon (City University).
Tactics and planning in round the world yacht racing,
Mike Golding
OR's contribution to one-day cricket: the Duckworth/Lewis method,
Tony Lewis (Oxford Brookes University).
