Hi all,
There have been several copyright discussion on other lists.
In my sight you can not copyright a normal link. It is somehow like telling
someone go to a library and look at page X in this book.
When linking ie. in a new window, removing the address bar, scrolling bar
and status bar, this may be seen in another way because "the page looks like
to be yours".
I think it is part of "netikette" to ask or to inform the author about a
link or implementing a work in another contest. But there often happens the
opposite. I found ie. links to some of my works - opening these in new
windows or opening pages with no links back to my site or any copyright
statement.... (btw - there are many art-pieces building interfaces to other
art-pieces out/in_side the Net.)
What´s about works used in papers, presentation or shows?
I think presenting net-works in a(nother) public environment (than the Net
itself) is something else (more comparable to video or film).
best
