Perimeter Media + Culture Projects, in association with Video Lounge,
present a collaborative media arts and performance event, MOOV 2002,
featuring new work by emerging artists from QUEBEC, NEW YORK AND MEXICO.
MOOV 2002, a true meeting place for cross border exchange, creates an
opportunity for media artists to explore a multitude of collaborative
possibilities transcending cultural, political, economic and geographical
borders. Rather than specifying a central theme, the event is an exposition
of work of created collaboratively [EXQUISITE CORPSE VIDEO PROJECT], 5
curated video programs, PREMIERES of video and interactive installations and
performances which advance ideas in curatorial practice and artistic
innovation.

An 84-page tri-lingual catalogue accompanies MOOV 2002.  The catalogue
includes introductory text by the co-collaborators of the exhibition, Joanna
Empain, Rachel Melman, Annie Murphy, Claudia Prado, Alfredo Salomon and
Charmaine Wheatley.  It also features program information and biographies of
the artists. The catalogue is available at the event.

The MOOV 2002 exhibition and the accompanying catalogue are made possible in

MOOV is a project of PERIMETER MEDIA + CULTURE PROJECTS in association with
Video Lounge. PMCP is a non-profit arts organization which serves emerging
independent film, video and media artists through festivals and exhibitions.
PMCP is dedicated to building an international creative community
encouraging dialogue and exchange across geographic, cultural and social
boundaries. Video Lounge was a microcinema screening series at the Knitting
Factory from 1992 - 2001. Video Lounge continues to curate and coordinate
video programs.
