POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH POSITION
I have a postdoctoral position in the area of direct molecular dynamics. The
research is broadly defined and covers both development of new methods
as well as applications.
The position is funded by an interdisciplinary grant from the National
Science Foundation (Information Technology Research) and will involve
close collaboration with Dr. Baastian Braams, who is an
applied mathematician/numerical analyst at the Courant Institute.
A recent paper describing some our work in the research area is:
A local interppolation method for direct classical dynamics calculations,
K. M. Christoffel, J. M. Bowman, and B. J. Braams,
J. Chem. Phys. 115, 11021 (2001).
The starting date is somewhat flexible, but Oct. 1, 2002 is preferred.
The position is funded on an annual basis but renewal for up to three years
is possible. Intested applicant should submit a curriculum vita and arrange
for two letters of recommendation to be sent to me. (email is acceptable.)
