MCG list members are cordially invited to attend a free seminar for
Museums, Archives, Libraries and Education personnel at the School of
Oriental and African Studies, University of London, on Wednesday 29th May.
The seminar will examine the various phases of projects required for the
delivery of digital media via the Internet and includes lectures by leading
professionals in their fields. The seminar will be introduced and chaired
by Paul Sandford from the Southbank University, who will begin by looking
at various digitisation case studies across the cultural and heritage
sectors. Covering topics from the start to finish of projects such as: -
Why go online - Funding - Setting objectives - Managing the process -
Digitization - Digital Asset & Content Management - Information Technology -
Collection Management Systems - How best to present your collection
online - Virtual Reality (Collections without walls) - and more.
The day will begin at 0930hrs and will conclude at 1400hrs. Lunch is
provided free of charge. Limited spaces are available for this free event
