APOLOGIES FOR CROSS-POSTING!
CHEST and CSA have been negotiating to provide special pricing for
RefWorks, and, prior to an agreement being completed, CSA is offering an
extended (6 month) trial period and a series of training seminars
starting at the end of October, hosted at various institutions around
the UK and Ireland. This trial period and the Agreement will be open to
all Higher and Further Education Institutions in the UK and Republic of
Ireland and to Research Councils in the UK.
The following is the announcement from CSA:
------------------------------------------------------
We are pleased to announce that CHEST and CSA are negotiating a special
arrangement that provides all member institutions with an extended
training/review period (6-months) and preferential consortia pricing for
RefWorks, the new online bibliographic management solution.
RefWorks, designed as a cost-effective service for the library, provides
institution-wide access to an Internet-based bibliographic management
service that allows users to create their own personal databases of
citations, abstracts, and notes -- and then access them from any
Internet-compatible computer. References can be imported into RefWorks
from hundreds of databases available on most bibliographic services.
As part of the introduction to RefWorks and to provide you with an
overview of the programme, a series of seminars is planned for the end
of October throughout the UK and the Republic of Ireland. For further
information on the seminars and specific details of the programme, go
