Good points Adrian - thank you. As with all the comments made through the
discussion list, we'll bring them together with the responses received
through [log in to unmask] and consider all the points raised in
preparing our report to CILIP's Executive Board which meets on 5 September.
Bob.

Subject: Re: CILIP Draft Corporate Plan
http://www.cilip.org.uk/about/corporateplan/corplan.pdf
I quibble with "non-conventional" e.g. I prefer unconventional, unorthodox,
or just less conventional, where the draft at present says "... providing
new forms of access that recognize para-professional roles and
non-conventional routes ..." [Page 1]
I'm not sure about the focus on enterprise. On Page 4 we roll out some
familiar booming phrases, "processes and activities", "offering a relevant
and successful portfolio of products and services", which read a bit like
c/v inflation. Do you need such a sign, if you are selling fish ...?
I'm not clear what a minority ethnic background is, but in any case we're
only going to "examine the feasibility of a bursary scheme" [Page 7] which
will be some way from ear-marking funds.
Does reciprocal accreditation [Page 7] mean we can work anywhere in the
European Union, one day?
I remain skeptical about "the opportunities for applying KM" [Page 11] when
some exponents of knowledge management seem to include global enterprises of
dubious probity?
