Course content and intended audience:
The Internet is rich in resources but finding your way around can be
difficult even for trained Information professionals. Recently there
has
also been a lot of interest in the 'deep' or 'invisible' web - the part
which is hidden from search engines. This course is aimed at anyone who
has a basic knowledge of using the Internet but would like to find out
more
about:
*specialist information sources
*finding 'hidden' information
*different file formats used on the Internet - how and when to use them
Cost: £45 for Career Development Group members, £40 for non-members
