ER: PROMOTING AND MANAGING ELECTRONIC RESOURCES
WITHOUT THE TRAUMA
Thursday 14 November 2002
Scientific Societies Lecture Theatre
London, W1
Electronic journals and other digital information resources have
moved into the mainstream. All players in the information chain
are grappling with the practical challenges and choices surrounding
the promotion and management of digital content. How can new
resource discovery and management systems help libraries promote
and present digital resources in a coherent and user-friendly way?
How can we develop and manage an increasingly integrated information
environment? How can the publisher, intermediary and librarian work
together to help stimulate the use of electronic information?
If you believe that e-journals and other digital resources must be
promoted and carefully managed to improve services to end-users -
and to achieve best value for money from our investment in these
products, systems and services - then this latest updated UKSG
one-day seminar is for you. The event will bring these issues
together and offer an opportunity to both learn from the experience
of leading practitioners from the serials information community,
and discuss what works and does not work from a practical perspective.
