EPUK 03 Conference - Call for Papers
------------------------------------
The third conference of the EPUK network (Environmental Psychology in the UK) is moving north of the border into Scotland, and will be
hosted at the Scott Sutherland School (RGU) in Aberdeen between the 23rd and the 25th June, 2003. The themes set out below are indicative to
a large degree, but the first one can in many ways be seen as the main overriding theme. Hosted as it is within a school of architecture and
surveying, we hope this event will address this and many other issues in a truly interdisciplinary manner.
Conference Themes
-----------------
The main themes of the conference are:
* Crossing Boundaries (the value of inter-disciplinary research)
* Methods in people-environment studies
* Teaching environmental psychology
* Funding interdisciplinary research in environmental psychology
You are invited to submit abstracts for individual papers, symposia, posters or discussion workshops. We also welcome submissions outside of
these themes from any area of environmental psychology.
Academic and Social Programme
-----------------------------
* The conference is being hosted at the Scott Sutherland School of the Robert Gordon University. The school is on the Garthdee campus, which
is situated in the west of the city, beside the River Dee.
* There will be a conference dinner held on the first night of the conference (23rd June) at a local restaurant.
* Accommodation has been secured with university halls of residence at a rate of £16.50 per night (self catering). If you would like
information about alternative accommodation, we can provide details.
* More information about Aberdeen, including how to get there can be found at: http://www.rgu.ac.uk/about/localarea/. In order to cut costs,
it is advisable to book travel arrangements well in advance (BA and EasyJet are both quite good for cheap flights)

* As part of the printed materials to be circulated to delegates, we want to include a brief biography (up to 500 words) of each delegate's
interest / research / involvement / history in environmental psychology. We are also asking all delegates to suggest what might be the
priorities for research / consultancy / teaching in environmental psychology in the future (again, up to 500 words).
