I appologise for little off-topic questions.
I would like to generate B0 field map on GE CVi magnet. From James Wilson's
message I can see that it is neccessary to acquire symmetric and asymmetric
spin echo images.
1. Is there any easy way to do this on GE or do I have to hack a sequence
code?
I guess from the following lines that there is a Siemens system installed at
FMRIB .
loop over phase-encodes
loop over slices
perform symmetric spin echo, i.e. acquisition centred at TE
perform asymmetric spin echo, i.e. acquisition centred a time tau
after TE
end loop
end loop
2. Does it matter if I acquire symmetric and asymmetric images in separate
experiments; in another words are the sym-asym echoes coupled?
3. In general, I would expect the images should be rather T2 weighted than T1
or PD, since T2s are more sensitive to field inhomogenities. Am I right?
