Hi Steve,
Is there any possibility to extend SIENA to white
matter change measurement?
One way I can think is, rather than changing source
code, to threshold off gray matter and CSF parts from
the seg images, and then to put the white matter
images back to SIENA.
But I don't quite understand the underlying mechanism.
In that case, if the 1D profiles along edge voxels
(3mm around) reach the brain-CSF boundary, would it
give a motion value that I don't want? The gray
matter is quite thin on the top of the brain.
If so, will an erosion to the white matter seg image
work, to increase to distance between white matter
edge voxels and brain-CSF boundary? The number of
white matter edge voxels will change a lot. But if the
mean motion value can be preserved somehow ...
It must be a bad solution, if it's a solution at
all... but any advice would be appreciated.
I'm really interested in the programme for gray matter
thickness measurement. Will it be available some time
in the future for free download? And is it possible to
get white matter change in a similiar way?
Many thanks.
Frank
