Dear Colleagues
The response to our call for papers for our May 2002 issue on Older People
and Humanitarian Crises has been less than anticipated.
We would therefore be grateful if you could pass on this message or the
attachment to any colleagues you think may be interested in writing for us.
There are details of FMR13 and other forthcoming issues of FMR at :

looking at such issues as:
- Do relief agencies listen to older people?
- What do displaced older people think of services provided by relief
agencies?
- What can be done to end marginalisation of older refugees and IDPs and
ensure equitable access to food, shelter and medical care?
- What needs to be done to get agencies to pay attention to the needs,
knowledge and experience of older people?
- What innovative practices in working with older people should be
disseminated and replicated?
Maximum length: 3,000 words. Deadline: 1 March 2002. Please send
ideas/abstract in advance: [log in to unmask]
