CALL FOR PAPERS
7th CONFERENCE ON EVALUATION & ASSESSMENT IN SOFTWARE ENGINEERING
(EASE 2003)
Keele University
Staffordshire, UK
APRIL 8-10 2003
http://www.keele.ac.uk/depts/cs/ease
For 2003, EASE is being co-located with the 15th Annual Workshop
run by PPIG (Psychology of Programming Interest Group) with some
shared sessions and keynotes. (http://www.ppig.org)
EASE welcomes papers on all aspects of empirical assessment and evaluation
in Software Engineering. Some of the topics that have been addressed over
the years, and which are still highly relevant include:
o Justifying the use of empirical assessment and evaluation in an
industrial environment
o Product and component evaluation
o Meta-analysis of software experiments
o Process and tool evaluation
o Evaluation strategies
o Experimental design
o Testing strategies
o Quality assessment
o Software experiments, case studies and observational studies
o Replications of previous experiments and empirical studies
We do of course continue to welcome both full and short (experience)
papers that address all aspects of evaluation and assessment in Software
Engineering, especially where the experiences relate to the problems
that arise from the use of emerging technologies and practices and from
new domains of application.

ABOUT KEELE UNIVERSITY
Keele was founded in 1951 and occupies a 670 acre estate that previously
formed the grounds around Keele Hall. Keele Hall itself was extensively
rebuilt in the mid-1800's and forms a very impressive centre-piece, as well
as a suitable location for our main meals. Keele lies in the centre of
England, and is easily accessed by air, rail and road. A wide range of
international flights connect to Manchester and Birmingham Airports, both
of which also have good rail links to the two nearby stations at Crewe and
Stoke-on-Trent. Keele is also adjacent to the main M6 West Coast motorway.
The conference fee includes en-suite accommodation in modern University
residences and all meals, including the Conference Reception and Dinner.
