Well, I hope someone who attends will post a full report. In return,
I'll tell you about the reading Gabe and I attended at Cornell last year.
It was just Susan. Only Susan. The Susan. Gabe didn't really want to
go being of mixed opinion about the Buffalos but pretty soon it was
obvious that it was made for him because her reading was in fact a
compendium talk, reading, performance, slide-show very heavily featuring
the handwriting/penmanship/notebooks of Charles S. Peirce: it was a
feast. We both lapped it up. And in fact we both sent major fan letters
to the various lists we're on afterwards. the other thing that was great
about that reading was Howe's unassuming and frank demeanor: she was
extremely likable, and the whole event was a charge of energy: very
gusto-renewing! So if I found myself in Ireland in June, I'd even go to
Cork for this event (only joking Corkers!). But I won't be in Ireland until
July. I'd love to hear reactions here though.
