Steve,
Not on L1, no, although I have some sql scripts running on our userdatabase
which extract the apropriate data and create the bb-formatted batch files
automatically, split into groups of 350, so I just upload the prepared
batches. There's no magic here, but it does save me some time - and we have
updates doing comparison files and giving me weekly updates on create and
enroll files.
Personally, I would steer well clear of allowing them to create their own
accounts, as you won't have a userbase to query then, and would probably
find preparing other batches or managing people a nightmare, but others may
argue differently.

Subject: User registration possibilities
Hi,
I'm working for University College Dublin and had a query relating to
student registration on BB for next semester. I wondered is their a more
administrator friendly way of registering about 1200 students, as opposed
to all of the batch text file stuff we've been doing up until this point?
Is their a way for students to create their own accounts without
compromising the security of the system?
I would sincerely appreciate any assistance with this matter or would be
delighted to hear some of the issues that arose if anybody implemented BB
registration in this fashion.
Thanks
Steve
