Final Call for Papers
Abstracts (max 300 words) welcome on all aspects of Gothic in
Literature and related disciplines from the 18th century to the
present. Topics so far offered include Doris Lessing's `The Fifth
Child`; Conrad `The Secret Sharer`; `Visualisations of the
technological and the supernatural in contemporary urban Gothic`;
and `The Case for a Gothic Politics in 19th Century Ireland`.
Keynote speakers: Fred Botting (on Alasdair Gray); Avril Horner
and Sue Zlosnik (Comic Gothic); David Punter (on Arundhati Roy).
Closing date MARCH 31st
