Subject: Basic IT skills
This is a questions related to computer access assessments.
Does anybody know of any learning material that could be given to disabled
people that want to start using a computer and have no IT skills. I know of
a European project (I think it is called the computer driving licence) that
allows people to go through some tutorials on a CD ROM and then give an
examination and obtain a "qualification" as a proof of basic IT competence,
but is there anything else. The skills I am thinking of are using the mouse,
navigating in a "Windows" environment, accessing the web, using Word etc.
Any ideas?... Thank you.
