We are currently planning on introducing a set of individual HE level
modules aimed at employees in SMEs. We have obtained some ESF funding
for these.
However, my understanding is that the ESF funding will only cover 40% of
the cost of the project and that this has to be matched with 10% of
costs from other public sources, in our case we were thinking of using
HEFCE funding for this. However, ESF funding covers all sorts of course
costs that are not part of HEFCE's funding remit (e.g. travel expenses,
paying the company to allow time-off for their staff etc.).
I really need some advice on how we reconcile funding from these 2 very
different sources and how we would calculate funding, or part-funding
from HEFCE.
Are there any other institutions who already have experience of
ESF/HEFCE funded courses/modules who could guide me in ensuring that we
make the correct claim from HEFCE?
