If a patient complains of muscle aches on a statin and then stops the
statin, how long before the muscle aches go? I have been asked by a GP
concerning a lady whose lipids have responded well to Simvastatin 20 mg but
the patient is convinced that the muscle aches (still present 3 weeks after
stopping the statin) are statin induced. CK and AST normal.
Many thanks!
