<<Call it what you want, "core stability "has been an "in" fad for a while
now and many fitness regimes have made a lot of noise about it's importance
e.g. pilates, yoga. Then science seems to get in the way and make a
controversial maybe "arrogant" statement claiming "it is all "B.S" so stop
wasting our time"......
If you gave similar exercises to an elite group of athletes, sure it would
barely train them at all, but if certain exercises help certain people, why
waste time trying to argue against it?
We are here to help people and be positive. Negativity gets us no where! >>
*** Now that we have discovered that questioning, analysis and discussion of
theory and practice is all a load of negativity, let us halt all research and
dissection of existing ideas and practices, because that sort of pursuit is
negative and useless! Remember that this same "negative" approach which has
questioned existing norms and beliefs has produced enormous scientific
progress and medical discovery that has helped people for many years. That
sort of remark is positively negative :)
To dismiss the argument that was put forward, simply cite some references to
show that my remarks are unscientific, inaccurate or irrelevant.
Proclamations and opinions do not prove or disprove - "negative" research
does - over to you for those references now!
