This is a good point - you might only need to transcribe certain parts of
your recordings. Were you using NVivo for instance, you could link to
audio files on your PC - though segmenting them would have to be done by
third party software - or just use a proxy file to summarise/analyse.
Of course, there is a range of ethical and methodological issues to
consider too.
