Reader in Public Health, Faculty of Health and Social Care,
University of the West of England, Bristol
The University of the West of England, Bristol, wishes to
appoint a senior academic to support the development of
resarch and teaching programmes in the area of Public
Health, within the Faculty of Health and Social Care. This
post is available from February 2002. You will be linked
with the Research Centre for Public Health and Primary Care
development and you will play a key role in the MSc Public
Health. You will have a PhD or equivalent and an excellent
portfolio of funded research as well as relevant experience
of teaching in a higher education setting. Applicants are
welcome either from a clinical (medical or other) or non
clinical background. An honorary NHS contract will be
sought for the successful candidate if appropriate.
Salary
The salary level for this post will be up to £38,000 with
the potential for additional salary enhancement depending
on the experience and qualification of the successful
applicant.
