>Proposals for papers on the following topics are invited:
>· Changing gender roles and relationships in terms of living
>arrangements, repartnering, social networks and lifestyles
>· The changing meaning of masculinity in later life
>· Gender and increasing physical frailty; factors influencing the
>maintenance of power, control and autonomy
>· Differences in gender identity and roles relating to social class,
>ethnicity and sexual orientation
>· Methodological issues and challenges in research on older men
>Proposals are invited in the form of abstracts of 300 words sent by 15th
>December 2001. Authors of selected papers will be invited to submit full
>papers by 1st June 2002. Papers will be available to participants in
>advance to allow maximum time for discussion.
