*** Apologies for cross posting ***
Information for Scotland continues to hit all the current issues and provide
an annual forum for the library and information professions in Scotland to
assess where we are going, and where we ought to be going.
So, for Information for Scotland 8, we return to the Wolfson Suite at
Edinburgh University Library with a similar format to the two previous
conferences. We are delighted, for the first time, to welcome a speaker from
abroad, Esko Häkli (Director of the National Library of Finland), who will
bring us up to date with what has happened in information for Finland. Short
presentations will show what is going on at home, and the conference
speakers will be completed by an overview from Derek Law (Director of
Information Strategy, Strathclyde University).
The speakers will inform and stimulate; the usual lunchtime poster and
online exhibitions will illustrate and expand on what is happening in
Scotland, as well as giving the usual invaluable opportunity for informal
discussion.
The last two Information for Scotland conferences have been sold out: space
is limited, so book early to avoid disappointment, as they say. To make a
booking please contact the Scottish Library Association by email at

Libraries.
Please note: this is event is open to colleagues from the UK and beyond.
