Three Year Fixed Term Contract
Your role will be to identify, assess and interpret archaeological monuments
and remains, creating reports and records for inclusion in the National
Monuments Record and, when required, in technical, specialist and popular
publications or supplying them to external organisations.
You will also make metrically accurate survey plans using a variety of
methods, including technical survey techniques and supporting software to
produce archive drawings and accounts of field remains. You will also
assemble and evaluate relevant information from published and unpublished
A degree in archaeology, or a related subject, and a sound knowledge of
British archaeology will be combined with substantial archaeological
fieldwork experience and good observation of archaeological field remains.
A team worker, with initiative and flexibility, you will have the ability to
synthesise different forms of evidence and communicate in a clear, logical
manner. A driving licence is essential and experience of handling digital
