christopher thinks that it's getting to be a pain, being right all the damned
time --esp. when he really has no idea why he might be.

anyone tell me what EXACTLY is the difference between MONACA and MONIALIS
fwiw, i don't think i've ever seen "monacha/monaca" in a charter or necrology
before. but i've certainly not spent much time in conventual charters --there
being only one(?) surviving from the Chartres region
(the Cistercian house at L'Eau, just outside town, a late 12th c. foundation,
i believe).
about the only other convent in the diocese i can think of was that of
St. Avit, below Chateaudun. an important 11th c. refoundation, but most of
her charters (and all her buildings) have been lost without a trace.

sister.
ditto, re "reddita."

one type of woman and another ?
yes, no doubt.
