Hello, everyone. It is time to start finalising plans for the Denver 2002
CMS workshop at the Academy of Management meeting. I list here the ideas
that have been proposed so far. Open to your reactions and additions! If you
have anything to suggest the time is NOW. Several people have volunteered to
help develop the ideas into actual sessions. If anyone else would like to
volunteer for the programme committee that would be great, too.
Tutorial topics suggested for Denver so far: political economy,
post-colonial theory
Past workshop tutorial topics have included: power; ethics; Foucault,
Teaching topics suggested for Denver so far: cases that deal with the
"dark-side" of organization
Topical seminars suggested for Denver so far: multi-national corporations
Past workshop topics have included: knowledge work/ers; globalisation; race,
gender & class; practice/activity theory; interpretive methods; strategy;
journal publication; gender & tenure; critical traditions; high performance
work practices; researcher/labour movement collaborations
Nominations for the plenary sessions are welcome.

We will repeat the roundtables session for the presentation of your work. So
prepare your working papers.
Graduate students are invited to come again or just check us out. Last year
we had a great student turnout for the doctoral workshops.
