This is because Outlook and Outlook Express store incoming mail in one pile and
outgoing mail in another. I use an offline reader called Ameol, and this does what is known
as threading, where each posting on a given subject is attached to the original. This
minimises internet traffic (every so often, someone sends a picture or something large, and
that gets sent back and forth to the cost of all) and allows you instantly to review all the
topic. It is fast and efficient of my time as well as my phone bill. It is also completely
immune to viruses and other attackers who use loopholes in the Microsoft products to
attack the host PC.
I do ensure that the subject heading is returned; as you can see this one will now be a bit
of an oddity stuck in a chest pain discussion. I'll try and enclose a bit more when I
remember.
Best wishes,
Rowley Cottingham
