medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Do we have any experts on Roch on the list who could explain how he came to
be associated with the plague? I almost made a rude comment about how
implausible legends get connected to saints when I wrote "saints of the
day" yesterday, but refrained. (The Black Death of course reached Europe
in late 1347.)
