Department of German
University of Liverpool
Research Studentship
Applications are invited for a three-year research
studentship in German from 2001-2. Applicants should
possess a good second- or first-class honours degree
in German, Joint or Single Honours. The Studentship covers
UK/EU tuition fees and postgraduate maintenance in full.
The studentship will cover the general area of
nineteenth-century literary studies, and may well involve
themes derived from alterity, postcolonial or intercultural
studies. The Department offers a lively research
environment, with a popular Research Colloquium, an
active Faculty Graduate School, annual international
conferences, and very good Library resources - both at
Liverpool and in the region.
