There are a number of digs "fairly" close to London (ie south-east England)
listed in the current edition of CBA's Briefing. There are digs going on in
Surrey, Essex and Kent which may still have places available. See
www.britarch.ac.uk/briefing/field.html for more information and contact
details for each project.
And a timely reminder to everyone that Briefing also welcomes news of
archaeology related events, conferences, courses, lectures and other news.
It is published bimonthly (as part of British Archaeology magazine) and is
also freely available through the CBA's website at
Submissions for Briefing can be sent directly to me here at the CBA or
emailed to [log in to unmask] (if my name's too long for you to remember!)
- deadline for October issue is about the middle of September.
