The British Library is reviewing the extent to which its services meet
the needs of disabled people.
We are keen to learn from disabled researchers who have experienced
difficulties in using research libraries in general and the British
Library in particular. Equally, it would be useful to hear about any
practices or features that make libraries easier for disabled people to
use.
I have been commissioned by the Library to carry out the research that
will underpin the review and I would be glad to hear from you by e-mail,
post or telephone (contact details below).
All responses will be treated in complete confidence and no individuals
will be identified in any report made to the British Library.
The British Library, under Lynne Brindley, its new Chief Executive, is
making a determined effort to accommodate the requirements of disabled
people, so I hope that you will be able to help by passing on
information about your needs and experiences, good or bad.
I look forward to hearing from you
Nick Moore
