Project Manager HIV/AIDS
Responsibilities: Collect and analyse data on HIV/AIDS in Russia for
programme planning, management, monitoring and evaluation purposes. Support
national counterparts in developing conceptual frameworks and detailed
action plans for HIV/AIDS-related projects. Support counterparts in
developing project budgets: analyse programme implementation and financial
reports and evaluate them against established programme recommendations and
plans of action: prepare narrative and financial reports to inform Russian
authorities, external donors and UNICEF on progress achieved and constraints
Undertake visits to UNICEF-supported projects in the area of HIV/AIDS to
assess project feasibility and effectiveness and monitor the use of UNICEF
inputs . Prepare draft funding proposals for submission to donors. Liaise
closely with UN and other partners involved in implementing HIV/AIDS related
activities . Attend relevant technical co-operation meetings and undertake
follow-up action as required, in particular within the framework of UN Theme
Group joint efforts.
University Degree in Medicine, Social, Economic sciences or related field of
study; At least three years of project management experience in public
health or social development, preferably within an international
organisation; Proficient knowledge of computer applications (MS
Office/Windows); Ability to travel within the Russian Federation (frequent)
and abroad (occasional); Proven ability to conceptualise, innovate, plan and
social/human development programmes; Strong analytical, negotiating,
communication, training and advocacy skills.
Languages: Fluency in English and Russian (both written and oral).
