Dear All,
well, an educated guess (emphasize on 'guess'):
Some 100 institutions / groups worldwide providing 3 courses per annum
(incl. criterium: 2 days or more devoted to EBHC/Critical Appraisal) for 50
attendees each, 400 local inititiatives (structured workshops on EBHC with a
minimum of, say, 15 hours each for 20 attendees twice a year) plus 300
medical schools worldwide providing a dedicated EBM module for 50 students
each annually, would give us a figure of, give or take a 1000,
45,000
per year.
In the spirit of Ken's question: a hazardous guess.
Best wishes,
Reinhard

Has anyone seen an estimate of how many people worldwide have had some sort
of formal instruction in critical appraisal and/or EBHC per year or some
other time period? If not would someone care to hazard an educated guess?
