Thank you for your prompt response. I am having a difficult time find
materials describing the event in England and its effect on the human
population. Would you know of written materials on this subject? Any source
would be most helpful. We have an extensive research library and various
17th century plagues are mentioned but not this one.

As far as I'm aware the Black Bane was a term used for an
anthrax in the 17th century, some 60,000 cattle died
