School of Archaeology and Palaeoecology
A Lectureship in Prehistoric Archaeology (grade A) is required to
complement and augment existing research and teaching in the School of
Archaeology and Palaeoecology. It is essential that the successful
candidate has a PhD in Archaeology, a track record of recent high
quality research publications in Prehistoric Archaeology and can teach
modules on Prehistoric Britain and Ireland from the Mesolithic to the
Bronze Age. It is desirable that the individual has an interest in
augmenting the department’s profile in theoretical archaeology and human
osteoarchaeology by conducting research and/or contributing to the
curriculum in these areas. Previous experience of teaching at university
level and evidence of an ability to attract external research or
contract funding to support research activities are also desirable. The
successful candidate will also be expected to undertake administration
duties within the School, as directed by the Head of School.
