italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies
Dear colleagues,
as the new editor of Italian Culture I invite you to submit articles to the
journal and also ask you to solicit articles from friends and colleagues in
other disciplines (e.g. art, music, history, theatre) who work on aspects
of Italian culture. For the first issue of 2001 I would appreciate
receiving submissions by June 15. Articles received after that date will
be considered for the second issue. Guidelines follow. Thank you. Sante
Matteo
Call for Submissions to Italian Culture
Italian Culture is the official journal of the American Association for
Italian Studies. It is published twice yearly and distributed to all
members of the AAIS. It welcomes articles on all aspects of Italian
culture, including interdisciplinary studies: language, literature, cinema,
art, music, history, philosophy, politics, sociology, etc. All submissions
are evaluated by two readers, normally members of the Editorial Board.
PROCEDURE: Submit two blind copies of your article, 15-30 pages,
double-spaced, including notes and bibliography, in the most recent MLA
style, without any reference to yourself, including name and affiliation,
anywhere in the text. Identify yourself only in a cover letter of
submissin, and enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE). Also
