Check the Sony Vaio notebooks with integrated iLink (= Firewire) and with
some basic video editing software already installed. It works quite nice
with digital video cameras like the PC 100 (digital in/out) and you can
also use memory sticks in both devices. Nice feature of the notebook is its
weight: 1.7 kg.
However, when it comes to services Sony gets a bit sloppy:
