medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
I believe there are two lines of imaging for Wisdom:
1. From Athena & the sapiential books of the Bible to female
personifications of virtues & other archetypes (including sapientia &
ecclesia) to Mary as wisdom.
2. Solomon & Jesus as the new Solomon.
