London's Museums, Archives and Libraries
Two full time, one year fixed term posts, central London (secondments
welcomed)
With support from Resource: the Council for Museums, Libraries and Archives,
London's Museums, Archives and Libraries are embarked upon an exciting
programme of development that will result in:
* A clear strategy for closer co-operation between the services across
London
* Practical projects delivered for the benefit of the millions of
Londoners who currently use services on offer
* New and innovative approaches to attract new audiences and cement
museums, archives and libraries at the heart of community, cultural and
learning agendas.
STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT OFFICER - £26,000 - LMAL #1
You will have an excellent knowledge of either museums, archives or
libraries, be able to formulate strategy at a time of rapid change, and be
able to translate this into real action. Your communication and
presentation skills will be excellent, and you will be prepared and able to
co-ordinate and sustain the infrastructures that will make your work
possible, through consultation sessions, meetings and updates with a wide
variety of stakeholders.

LONDON ARCHIVE DEVELOPMENT OFFICER £25,895 pa - LMAL #2
London Archives Regional Council is looking for an innovative and dynamic
individual to take forward the new archive strategy for London. The post
holder will help provide an authoritative voice for all stakeholders in
London's archives and support the work of LARC.
You should have relevant experience in an archive service, library, museum,
or the heritage sector and be aware of the current issues facing archives in
London, cross domain issues and London's diverse communities. You will have
strong communication and analytical skills and bring energy and enthusiasm
to this challenging post.
