Applications are invited for the post of Regional Sites and Monuments Record
Officer based in the Trust's offices in Welshpool, Powys. Appointment will
be within the range £13,299 - £15654 (pay award pending).
Background
The Trust maintains County Sites and Monuments Records for the unitary

The computerised element of the record currently consists of about 45,000

running in MapInfo against an OS digital background. These data act as a
'front end' to a variety of other digital and non digital archives and
collections. The job will involve the management and curation of all
elements of the SMR, the capture of new data from a variety of sources,
including the results of the Trust's own fieldwork teams, and dissemination
to internal and external enquirers. The majority of the SMR's work is funded
by grant aid from the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical
Monuments of Wales and Cadw:Welsh Historic Monuments. Please note that the
job does not include development control work.
