Hi Emma,
Hope that our travel arrangements are still on -- can you let me know what
time you think I should be with you, as you've driven this route before,
and, hopefully, will know all the shortcuts and travel times. Also, I need
a faxed location of your house or meeting place; my fax number is 01865
810187.
I'm starting to store up on sleep now . . .
Susan

Subject: Re: User Group meeting
As far as I am aware this is the agenda for next Tuesday. Apart from a
brief welcome from me, the introduction 10.30-10.45 will include a short
update from Dave Barratt on the current situation relating to Statutory
Status for SMRs. This is going to be a big issue for all of us over the
next couple of years so we will want to started debating the issues soon:
eg: the definition of SMRs (or HEIRS or HBSMRS), minimum standards etc.
SMRs are enjoying a high level of political support (moral if not
financial) and we might even see an increase in resources as a result.

The OASIS Project:
The aim of the OASIS project is to provide an online index to the mass of
archaeological grey literature that has been produced as a result of the
advent of large-scale developer funded fieldwork. As part of this overall
vision, the OASIS data capture form has been designed to help in the flow
of
information from data producers, such as contracting units, through to
local
and national data managers, such as SMR's and NMR's.
