SECOND IN DEPARTMENT
ECONOMICS AND BUSINESS STUDIES
CPS + MANAGEMENT 1 + OUTER LONDON ALLOWANCE
Required for September 2001 a well qualified and enthusiastic graduate to
teach Economics and Business Studies in an expanding and very successful
department. The School is heavily oversubscribed, has excellent results, and
in our recent OFSTED inspection Economics and Business Studies was described
as 'outstanding.'
Business Studies and Economics are popular A and AS level choices in a large
Sixth form (450 students), as is Business Studies at GCSE. The department
has access to 3 suites of state of the art Pentium processors.
We run Young Enterprise, Understanding Industry and Women in Industry
schemes, as well as UK and European field courses, and have a range of close
links with business.
The successful candidate must be ICT literate, and willing to play a key
role in the development of the department. The position offers excellent
prospects for career development.
Further information about the post and the School is obtainable from
Elizabeth Barnett, the Headteacher's Secretary.
Letters of application should be sent to the Headteacher, Michael Cooper,
giving the names, addresses, telephone and fax numbers of two referees, and
enclosing a curriculum vitae stating qualifications, experience and special
interest relevant to any aspects of school life. Applications must be
received as soon as possible.
