Dear All
Please could I request that everybody focuses on the issues that Colin
Low is discussing rather than criticising his method of delivery,
deprecating his personal style and so on. There are many areas in which
we will have disagreements even while we are trying to make changes that
are beneficial to all. His style and comments may not be agreeable or
immediately understandable but his critique needs to be read, thought
about and perhaps used as a basis for further discussion. No model or
theory was ever perfect (and should probably never be) but should form a
basis for further discussion, understanding, and development, and all
the changes that go along with the adoption of sound relevant
approaches, at least, that is until the next model comes along.....
Colin Low has contributed to the debate in his own way. As for
translating his comments and writing plain language, and any other
activities that promote accessibility, equity, decent living
conditions, maybe it's our job to do those things.
Vivien
