Greetings all,
a qeustion from the heart of Europe .... Brussels,
In an expertgroup we're preparing for our Minister of Education an
advice on a national policy on students with a disability in HE here
in Flanders Belgium. One of the more difficult questions we try to
ressolve is the financial aspect of the subject. Who pays for what if
your dealing with facilities for students with a disability in HE?
Does the ministiry of Education has to pay to the educational
institutions? If yes, how do you calculate the amount of financial
support a univeristy gets? Do you pay per student? Or ... ?
So we've been looking around to other countries how they manage the
financial aspect in equal opportunities for students,
Can somebody explain us how you do it in other countries? We're
hoping to find an inspiring example in your financial-support model
for students with a disability ...
You can answer me or give me hints we're to get an clear answer on
this qeustion via [log in to unmask]
Kindest greetings,
Joeri Van den Brande,
member of the ministrial advicegroup
on studying with a disability or chronic illness in HE.
