Another book on dowsing:
BAILEY, R N. CAMBRIDGE, E. BRIGGS, H D. 1988 'Dowsing & Church
Archaeology' Intercept, Intercept. ISBN 0946707 13 8
I have seen dowsing used in non-archaeological contexts, tracing central
hearting pipes (a test) and finding a septic tank and its drainage system
for real - and it was accurate.
Where I draw the line is dowsing over maps, finding ley-lines and the
'mystic' end of dowsing.
The main point is that dowsing is a non-destructive form of investigation.
If it works, it works and if it does not, no damage is done, literally.
