medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
>Dear Pat,
Many thanks for your offer of sending me the OED entry on "person", but it
was really not my intention to claim that "persona" is (or in the middle
ages was) an exclusively legal term. I was discussing this term in a given
passage of the Corpus Iuris Canonici, where the legal understanding is an
issue, but I am of course aware of the fact that this word has (and had) a
wider range of meanings. The same applies to German "Person".
Best regards,
Otfried
